Do you know the difference between a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and Cyber Recovery Plan?
The first difference is that a Cyber Recovery Plan responds to a cyber attack and due to its characteristics, any backup information that is constantly connected to a network is on risk and can be vulnerated, as it happens with redundant storage systems and instant replicas.
For this reason, the recovery from a cyber attack tends to be based on the restoration of isolated backups, sometimes with a lag of more than a day. 💾
Cyber Resilience is another branch of Organizational Resilience and Business Continuity. That is why the usual recovery plans do not work in these scenarios.
